 | I am very picky and inquisitive, the contractor always took his time explaining the work and how each component operated. I couldn`t be happier with both the system and the contractor/crew. The contractor filled in all the paperwork that I had to submit to the power company, all I had to do is review and sign. I can confidently say that I wouldn`t hesitate to do business with this contractor in the future Although the contractor couldn`t directly manage the net meter installation and inspections. As well as rebate application. He always provided me with nearly completed forms that I just had to sign, date, and submit. The contractor did everything he could to make this as easy as possible. | Since the first time I contacted Solar-Ray, Mike Brown has always been available to take calls and answer questions I had. Installation of PV panels continued on-schedule and was done sooner than I expected. All workmen were courteous when talking to me and among themselves. I have been in contact with Mike since the panels were installed to thank him for a job well done and to express my appreciation at the amount of power the units produce. I have recommended his company to a neighbor who expressed interest in solar. I would probably not have gotten the PV system (due to expense) had not Florida promised a rebate of up to $ 20,000 for a PV system. I`m still waiting! I had no problem using the Federal tax credit. | The employees were VERY knowledgable, extremely considerate and helpful. They were (are) very personable! I love getting my electric bill - if that is even imaginable! The system is saving me over half of my previous usage. And - solar is the right thing to do for our country! We wouldn`t have to worry about oil drilling if more solar was used. I was very startled that the rebate ($ 30,000) appears to not be coming. I am glad I am financially able to survive the shock! This is the only negative. | The actual was lower than the quoted price even though he used an upgraded converter. With all the bad stories you read and hear about contractors he was excepcinal. Even though I was already sold on getting the PV system (but it was too costly) the October Solar Tour in 2006 gave me the info I needed to make my decision to not only get the PV system but get the solar hotwater heater. During the tour I got info about the FL incentive for both systems. So by November I had the solar hotwater heater installed and on December the PV system. I could not do it without FL credits of $500 for the solar hotwater and the $20,000 for the PV system. I already new about the federal credits and used them too.
